Japanese Hair Straightening
Japanese Hair Straightening, also known as Thermal Reconditioning, is a very popular hair straightening techniques. The process originated in Japan in the late 1990’s and is the one and only permanent straightener with immediate results and permanent benefits to smooth, straighten and shine, wavy, curly or frizzy hair. Permanently brightens, adds ultra gloss and reconditions hair so hair lays flat with a brilliant shine.
This process is different from that of using relaxers to smooth out the hair. Chemicals are applied, the hair is ironed, piece-by-piece, and then rinsed and blow dried. The procedure takes two to eight hours, depending on the length, thickness and condition of one's hair.
Japanese Hair Straightening involves a very thorough process of washing the hair and straightening it using a series of heated styling tools. Although this process may sound like it will be harmful towards your hair our stylists can assure that you will leave our salon with healthy, bone-straight and sleek hair.
This process can be quite costly but a cheaper price should give you some concern. The salon may not have the expertise or may have lesser quality chemicals on hand. The old adage of “you get what you pay for” certainly applies here and you should really consider!
Japanese Hair Straightening is not recommended for those with tightly curled hair or hair that has undergone multiple serious chemical treatments. The results for Japanese Hair Straightening on the average should last for about one year but may require a touch-up session to take care of any new hair growth.
